In the City of Lights, two star-crossed lovers battle a fate that is destined to tear them apart again and again for eternity.

When Kate Mercier’s parents die in a tragic car accident, she leaves her life—and memories—behind to live with her grandparents in Paris. For Kate, the only way to survive her pain is escaping into the world of books and Parisian art. Until she meets Vincent.

Mysterious, charming, and devastatingly handsome, Vincent threatens to melt the ice around Kate’s guarded heart with just his smile. As she begins to fall in love with Vincent, Kate discovers that he’s a revenant—an undead being whose fate forces him to sacrifice himself over and over again to save the lives of others. Vincent and those like him are bound in a centuries-old war against a group of evil revenants who exist only to murder and betray. Kate soon realizes that if she follows her heart, she may never be safe again.

In this incandescent debut, newcomer Amy Plum has created a powerful paranormal mythology with immortal revenants. The Paris setting comes enchantingly alive as a relentless struggle between good and evil takes place in its streets. Rich with romance, atmosphere, and thrills, Die for Me will leave readers breathlessly awaiting its sequel.

Oh My, it is true when people compare this book to Twilight. The worse thing is I liked Twilight, I went through the whole phase and I still reread the books but Die For Me just....it didn't work.

I had major problem when reading this book. First was the characters. I had no interest in the characters. I found them not to be developed or to have any likeability at all. I also found them annoying similar in character and structure to the characters in Twilight. Again, I will say I liked Twilight, I liked the characters but I don't want to see them in a different YA book, nor do I want to see their story over and over again.

The setting and world was practically non-existent. There was supposed a amazing description of Paris which I never found. I read halfway through this book and never got to the amazing descriptions.

Maybe that was due to the writing style. It just wasn't appealing to me. It bored and angered me so much that I even took Amy Plum's other book off my wishlist, assuming, that there was the same writing style.

The positive to this book was that it was unique. The paranormal beings were unique. The story mightn't have been but the paranormal aspects were. But it wasn't enough to pull me through the rest of the book.

Unfortunately, my dislike of the characters, plot and writing style really threw a bummer on this book. I did not finish this book nor do I plan on continuing the series.

I am sorry if I have offended anyone who liked this book, these were just my opinions and this book really just wasn't the one for me.....
