Top Ten New To Me Favourite Authors I Read For The First Time in 2015.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish and consists of them picking a topic each week for us bloggers to list our Top Ten.

I read so many new authors this year so in no particular order here we go....

1. Louise O' Neill
I read Louise O' Neill's new 2015 release 'Asking For It' only a few months ago and it was such a dramatic, gripping and intense book that I suggest everyone should read especially because of the topic of this book - rape. 


2. Dawn Kurtagich
I loved Dawn Kurtagich's debut novel 'The Dead House' and I seriously can't wait for her 2016 release 'The Creeper Man' either. Dawn just has an awesome writing style and just such a great thriller, mystery writer for YA,


3. Stephanie Tromly
This book was such a surprise for me! I didn't think that I would love it as much as I did. It was just such an entertaining read and there is supposed to be a sequel to 'Trouble Is A Friend Of Mine' next year!!



4. Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff
This duo is just perfect. Illuminae was an incredible novel and wow! I can't even say anything...


5. Katherine Howe
I loved, loved, loved Katherine Howe's book Conversion that I read this year and I can't wait to get my hands on her new novel The Appearance of Annie van Sinderen.


6. Jennifer Niven
I just fell in love with All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven this year!


7. Ruta Sepetys
I have only read one book by Ruta Sepetys but she instantly became a favourite after that and then I need to read all her other books!


8. Morgan Matson
Of course Morgan Matson is on the list. She is the awesome author that started me reading Contemporary and I just haven't been able to stop because of her! Yay, Morgan Matson!!


9. Patrick Ness
I read and was mind blown by Patrick Ness's 'More Than This' and then was ecstatic to find out about his new release 'The Rest Of Us Just Live Here'. Unfortunately, I didn't like the latter as much as the first but he is still one of my favourite authors!


10. Leslye Walton
I read Leslye Walton's debut novel at the start of this year and fell in love. I just can't wait for her to release something new because she is definitely a new favourite!

Day 6 - 5 Books That I Can't Wait To Release.

1. The Illuminae Files #2

Oh my God, after finishing Illuminae I seriously can't wait to for the second book to release. There's no title, no cover, no nothing but I'm so excited!!

2. This Is Where It Ends by Marieke Nijkamp

This is a 2016 debut that I seriously can't wait for. It is about a school shooting and is told from different points of view and this whole book takes place over the span of a few minutes. 

3. Salt To The Sea by Ruta Sepetys

I read one book from Ruta Sepetys and loved it and I really can't wait for this book to release. 

4. Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

Need I say anything???

5. Heartless by Marissa Meyer
Another book that doesn't have a cover yet, but I seriously can't wait for this, It's Marissa Meyer retelling Alice In Wonderland! She has retold all the other stories perfectly I have such high expectations for this!!

Sorry this is late, we had a storm that kind of took over so....

1. The Diviners by Libba Bray

Everybody talks about this book.... And everybody says it's so good and creepy and it has a historical fiction element and it just sounds so amazing that I put it on there...

2. The Name Of The Star by Maureen Johnson

This is kinda the same as The Diviners I think, only this one is a Jack The Ripper retelling. Eeekkk. 

3. The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater

I was contemplating about this series for a long time. I really enjoyed The Wolves of Mercy Falls series by Maggie Stiefvater and this book was so hyped and I was intrigued. Then I saw the cover release for The Raven King and I was sold. It was added to my Christmas wishlist!

4. Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein

This book just sounds so intriguing and I really want to read it, so I placed it on the list :P

5. Winter by Marissa Meyer
Of course this one was a must and I really hope I get it!! Ahhh Winter!!!

Like seriously, just look at that cover!!

2. Champion by Marie Lu

I was just ecstatic when I saw the cover for this book! I literally bought it straight away even though I didn't own the second novel in the series at that time,

3. A Thousand Pieces Of You by Claudia Gray

Wow! Just wow! My sincere congrats to the cover artist here and the sequel to this series is just as beautiful!

4. A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin

These covers definitely had a big play in my purchasing and reading A Game of Thrones. Just saying..

5. The Infinite by Lori M. Lee
I crazily love these covers way more than the other ones and I'm over the moon that these are the series covers that I have :P

1. The Accident Season by Moira Fowley Doyle

Shelf 3, Book 12.
This is a book that I picked up for an event that I attended at the end of October and I have started this book and just need to continue on and finish it before the end of the year.

2. Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas

Shelf 10, Book 5.

The third book in the Throne of Glass series and I still have to read it.... along with Crown of Midnight! I may make them my top priority for 2016!

3. Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer

Shelf 2, Book 22.
The final book n the series that started me reading. Oh, the memories! I was such a Twilight fan and still am and will more than likely be rereading this series very soon. I am feeling nostalgic!

4. The Book Thief by Markus Zusack

Shelf 8, Book 5.

This is one of those books where I actually preferred the movie cover! Shocker!! I know, but I loved this book so much, It left me so emotional and all the feels... 

5. The Infinite by Lori M. Lee
Shelf 7, Book 23.
The Infinite is the second book in the A Gates of Thread and Stone trilogy by Lori M. Lee and I really enjoyed this book too! And that cover!! <3

This book has been popping on and off of my tbr for quite some time now and I've decided to stick it back on and keep it there. I've heard such amazing things and the concept of this book really intrigues me so yes, The Night Circus, you are on my wishlist!

1. Firebird Trilogy by Claudia Gray

This book is just gorgeous and I have to say that that was the reason behind me picking this book up in the first place, but I do really want to read this because I'm really interested in this book too and the sequel (which has another gorgeous cover) is releasing here next week. So soon!!

2. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling

I know, I know, where am I?? But I have watched all the movies, but have been wanting to read these books for ages and when Bloomsbury brought out these new covers I was sold! Time to jump on the bandwagon!

3. Shadow of the Wolf by Tim Hall

It's a Robin Hood retelling!! Need I say more. I thought it was a standalone but nope, I get a series which I am incredibly excited to start this .

4. Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children Trilogy by Ransom Riggs

Everyone talks about this book and this series and well I just saw it there on the shelf in the store in October and I just went ahead and picked it up so I really need to start this trilogy too!!

5. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Ya'll know I have to finish The Grisha Trilogy first but man... this book sounds so amazing! Need to start this duology, Need to start!!

5 Series I Own And Need To Finish

Day 2 - 5 Series I Own And Need To Finish

1. The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Barugo

I have read book 1, Shadow and Bone, in this series and I loved it! The Darkling!! And I need to continue with Siege and Storm and Ruin and Rising because I want to finish this trilogy before I start Six of Crows too... All the more motivation,

2. The Newsflesh Trilogy by Mira Grant

I read Feed and was absolutely blown away by it! It left me with such a book hangover than I needed to take a reading break afterwards. Unfortunately I haven't got around to reading the rest in the trilogy and now there was a fourth book set for released I just really need to finish this up! 

3. Divergent by Veronica Roth

I just need to finish this trilogy to see what the hell had caused such a stir. I read Divergent and loved it, didn't like Insurgent as much but still want to see what I think of Allegiant.

4. Partials Sequence by Dan Wells

I read Partials and loved it! It was such a great dystopian / sci fi tha i really can't wait to read the last two books in the series.

5. Wicked Lovely by Marissa Meyer
I've had this series for ages and I got the last two books on their release date and I still have only read the first book which I really enjoyed! I loved the portrayal of faeries in this book and I really, really need to finish this series of books!

Top Ten 2016 Debuts Novels I Am Looking Forward To.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish and consists of them picking a topic each week for us bloggers to list our Top Ten.

Yay! 2016! There are many great new 2016 debuts coming out. I will probably discover more as the year begins and goes on but here is the list that I have so far:

1. This Is Where It Ends by Marieke Nijkamp
This book sounds so interesting. It sounds completely intense and such a current topic novel that I really can't wait to see how it was written and what I think of it.

2. The Girl From Everywhere by Heidi Heilig
This book is Young Adult Fantasy, Time Travelling story that I've just been hearing a good bit about and well I want to read it for myself too.

3. Revenge And The Wild by Michelle Modesto
Another Fantasy novel, but with more of a Steampunk vibe. I am really excited for this release!




4. Rebel Of The Sands by Alwyn Hamilton
This seems like a really interesting Fantasy genre book and I've seen many people getting arcs for this so far and I must say that I'm intrigued!

5. Summer Of Sloane by Erin L. Schneider
A contemporary novel that I am highly anticipating for next summer!

6. Beautiful Broken Things by Sara Barnard
This just seems like such a beautiful book about friendship that I really can't wait to get my hands on it.



7. Enter Title Here by Rahul Kanakia
This book seems like a fun read and thought provoking at the same time and that's something I really want to try out in 2016.

8. The Way I Used To Be by Amber Smith
After reading Asking For It by Louise O' Neill, I've had a keen interest in tough topical books and this one just seems like a good one to read next for a 2016 debut.

9. If I Was Your Girl by Meredith Russo
This is a book about a transgender girl who falls in love, but then has to reveal the secret that she has kept so close, that she used to be a boy. I've never read a transgender novel before and I'm glad there is a 2016 debut of one coming next year!



10. Fear The Drowning Deep by Sarah Glenn Marsh 
A Historical Fiction, Fantasy type book that I really can't wait to dive into (no pun intended, well, maybe it was but sure ha!) :P

I went on a book buying ban this month because Christmas is next month and I'm hoping to get some books for it so I only got 1 book this month.

• The Rose Society by Marie Lu

The Rose Society!! Ahhhhh!! I have been waiting so long for this book after finishing The Young Elites and I cannot wait to just dive into this one.
