October 2014 Book Haul / Wrap Up / November TBR

October 2014 Book Haul

My spending ban went out the window because I went to the Michael Grant event and I had to get his new book for the event and that was on offer of Buy One Get One Half Price and I couldn't let that go, so I bought another book. Overall, I got two books this month, but I'm still keeping with the ban!!!

  • Messenger of Fear by Michael Grant
  • A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin

October 2014 Wrap Up

This is a reading and blogging recap of the month of October about what books, reviews and events that happened during the month!!

What Was Read:

Eeeek, I didn't do all too well this month, did I?? I will definitely improve for next month :P

Reviews I Didn't Get Around To Last Month:

  • Starters by Lissa Price
  • Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas (Review to come in November)
  • Champion by Marie Lu
  • Blood Promise by Richelle Mead (Review to come in November)

Events:

I was at an event this month!!! I went to see Michael Grant up in Dublin and had a great time as you could all probably tell by the post (here).I also participated in two read-a-thons - Read-A-Lot-A-Thon and Chills And Thrills Read-A-Thon. I didn't finish my goals for either read-a-thon as I only got 1 book finished for each.

Project 10 Book:

Ahhhh well, as I said above I got 2 books during the ban, but I ain't counting them because I had to get them for the event!!
So my progress for Phase 1 is:
  1. Throne of Glass
  2. Champion
  3. Blood Promise
  4. Partials
  5. Feed
  6. ?
  7. ?
  8. ?
  9. ?
  10. ?
As for the Reward when  get to 10, I'm not too sure what I'll get or if I should get one since it's close to Christmas and ya, I am getting books for Christmas so..... Anyone else have this predicament?
At the moment I have 132 books on my TBR, the same as last month O.o

November TBR

  • Silver Shadows by Richelle Mead
  • Deadline by Mira Grant
  • Blackout by Mira Grant
  • The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
  • Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
  • Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
6 Books, hopefully I'll get them read. All optimism from here out :P

I've also brought down my Goodreads Reading Challenge Goal because well 100 Was waaaay out of my lead as I'd have to read more than 30 books each for November and December. So I brought it down to 50, I don't even think I'll reach that one either :P

  1. Hey, two books is still okay! During these previous months I've just come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter how much we read as long as we enjoy them. I've seen people reading 20/25 books in a month and I honestly don't know how they do it... or better, how they remember what they read? It's still a mystery to me hahaha

We are going strong with Project 10 Book! Oh, and also, I'm so jealous you bought the new covers for Song of Ice and Fire because they are stunning!

Haha ya we are, even in my lapse :p They are incredible, even so much better when you actually see them in person :)

    2. The ending to Champion was definitely very, very different and I loved it a lot more than some of the other endings. *cough cough Mockingjay, The One, Allegiant cough, cough*

Ya, me too though I've heard some negative things about this one being boring and I'm kind of worried cuz I gave VA 2 stars... I gave Shadow Kiss 5 stars, though and I don't want this book to dissapoint! :(

:D Thanks! It's a new blog, we don't have many posts! I scrolled through a couple of your posts as well!
